Fortech GG Uniaxial Geogrid
They are high-strength materials developed for uniaxial geogrid needs in various applications of civil engineering. It is produced by knitting polyester micro filaments in the form of rectangles and covering them with Polymer or PVC. It provides high performance thanks to a specially designed sewing method to make it more durable at the knot points.
Unidirectional Geogrids are braided type geogrids whose tensile stress in one direction is significantly higher than the tensile stress in the opposite direction.
Fortech GG Uniaxial Geogrid Application and Usage Areas
Fortech GG Uniaxial geogrid is equipped with slope stabilization where strength is required in one direction It is used in applications such as retaining structure systems (GeoArme).
General usage areas of reinforced retaining structure systems (GeoArme Retaining Structure Systems), which have fast and economical application opportunity, safe earthquake behavior, flexible structure, resistance to settlements and also aesthetic appearance:
- Divided road expansion works
- On the approach walls of bridge junctions
- In places where expropriation will take place
- In efforts to gain space
- On bridge edge walls
- On bridge elevation walls
- Used on park and garden walls.

Advantages
- It is durable, long-lasting, reliable, low-cost and resistant to seismic and dynamic loads.
- When filling or granular material is laid on the geogrid, the attachments of the filling material are fully interlocked with the openings of the geogrid.
- It creates integrity with the filling material by ensuring that the tension is absorbed within the pores.
- Thus, the tensile and shear stresses on the ground are absorbed by the geogrid, creating a reinforced platform.
Packaging and Storage
ForTex GG is produced in rolls with a maximum width of 6 m and a length of generally 100 m.
Each roll is shipped in packaging protected against UV effects.
If the rolls are stored on top of each other, it is recommended to place a maximum of 6 rows. If the roll widths are shorter (up to 2 m), it is recommended to load and store the rolls vertically.
